Da Vinci Code

Went to see The Da Vinci Code on Sunday, the cinema was packed and we went in the aftenoon! Just goes to show that noone listens to reviews. Ha. Anyways i was worried i'd be disappointed cos i LOVE the book, but i wasn't, it was good.

Went to Cafe Rouge on Monday night and it was yum didley scrumptious! i was naughty and had a pudding.

Totally hooked on Big Brother. Love it, watch it every year. Can't believe the shenanigans that have been going on, and they've not even been in there a week!

I've finished quite a few of my Bonanza projects now, I've uploaded the Ki Memories A to Z of Me mini book. Not sure what i'm going to do with it yet, might just use bits from magazines to do a book on my favourite things. I've got loads of stuff left over from the kit so i'm chuffty cos i love Ki Memories.

Finally bought some Tim Holtz Distress Pads. Got a real bargain from ebay, they were £3.50 each so i bought 5! Cannot wait to have a try, but i think i'm going to need the DVD so i know what to do with them.

Scrapaholics

Today was my Scrapaholics class. This is my example of this months kit using scrummy Rita Marie paper, i used the monogram stamp in the kit to create a stencil and used foam pads with some of the flowers to add dimension. As there were only a few of us at the class, i managed to finish off some of my stuff from Bonanza. Today i've got lots of tidying up to do today as Mumsikins and Lloyd are coming to stay so everything needs to look sparkily clean!

Back from Bonanza!

Well Ok i got back last Saturday but i've been sooooo busy i haven't had a chance to post. i had such a brill time, it was so nice to meet people who are as crazy about scrapbooking as i am! Met lots of UKScrappers too many to mention.

I was really pleased with my classes, except the Ki Memories class. Mandy was a fab and enthusiastic teacher, but the kit was all stuff from pretty old lines and it was a mini book, which i have an aversion to. My favourites had to be the Heidi Swapp inside the box and Leandras Paperartsy class. i have now totally fallen in Love with their stamps, and picked up a few while i was there and some of the mediums from Golden so i can try lots of techniques at home. I also took Lorraine's cool felt class, Jenn Starr's perfect pearls class, Beck's Li'l Davis class (this had a MEGA kit) and another Heidi Swapp class. i think i was quite restrained in the shopping mall, as you can see, i only bought 4 sheets of patterened paper! Friday night we went for dinner and i met more fabby UKScrappers and then i had another really early start on Saturday.

i ended up being moved into a classroom to help out and had the best time! The first class i walked into was being taught by Annie Hafferman who did a fantastic job of teaching the class as it was quite a complicated tag accordion book . I also got to meet Dyan of Art from the Heart, Alison and the lovely Kirsty Wiseman who i was mega chuffed to meet. i came home on Saturday night to find my kit had arrived from Scrap Room which topped off my weekend. Had such a good time, it was definatly worth the 6.30 starts ! Now i've got to find the time to finish off all the projects that i started.

Freestyle

Went swimming with Katty on Saturday. We swam for an hour and she wouldn't let me leave until i'd done another 10 laps! Such a meanie. I sooo better loose some weight this week or she's in trouble!

Spent Saturday afternoon reading the new Autumn Leaves Freestyle Book. Totally inspiring, every scrapper should have a copy, you have to go check out the blog. Even if you are not a scrapper you would be completely in awe of the layouts in this book.

I made this layout by scraplifing various bits from 3 of the layouts in the book by Ashley Calder , Ashley Wren and Brenda Mae Teo . i know it's a bit wacky but i enjoyed doing something different.

Had a super fab fun night out in Chelmsford with Adam last night and danced my socks off, not that i was wearing any socks.

So not looking foward to going back to work tomorrow.
