This is me on Bournemouth beach on Saturday. Can you believe there were loads of people surfing!!! It was freezing = they are crazee. Went to see James Morrison on Monday. i guess after seeing my all time favourites Keane last week, he was a bit of a disappointment. He was good but he didn't work the crowd & there wasn't much of an atmosphere. But the support act was fun. Newton Faulkner (or Newt n frog as i like to call him, tee hee!) played acoustic guitar, sung a song about UFO's, a song in which he compared god to a sausage roll & the spongebob squarepants theme tune. He has huge talent & a great sense of humour.

And all else that's been going on is that i got my hair trimmed yesterday & i'm having a huge Shoe Dilema and am considering having a foot transplant. My sister is having a 21st Birthday party on Saturday and we are required to wear posh frocks. Being the kind of gal who lives in flip flops for as much of the year as she can, i don't really own appropriate footwear for such an occasion. So i've been on the hunt for some shoes for the last 2 months, and have found none that i like that actually fit. My feet you see are very short and very wide (one is actually wider that the other) and to make things more difficult i have a very high in-step. So i spent Friday and Saturday trying on every pair of black heeled shoes that i could find in Bournemouth and ended up panick buying an incredibly high, but beautiful and expensive pair. i then tried them on yesterday and i couldn't walk in them! So i'm still without a pair, and i only have a small window on saturday to find some. eek!

i've been feeling very scrappy of late, but alas i have no time to make fun stuff for me. i've been asked to do a few projects for people so will busy doing that tonight whilst watching Grand Designs & Desperate Housewives.

ta ra for now.

100th Post!!

Ok, so it's my 100th post and i think i know most of you who stop by here every now and again, and even those of you who stop by several times a day (!?!) but i'd really like it if you could post a comment to say hey. This includes you Anna Bananna & you Smilie. i've shown you both how to do it, so no excuses! And i might even randomly select someone to send a prize to... although i've not decided what yet, so don't get too excited!

My 100th post would be incomplete without some scrappyness so here's a page i made last night, which i felt inspired to do after discovering i could get my hair into a pony tail. i am very lucky to have naturally curly hair, but it kind of makes me stick out in the crowd, it's very thick & very big. So it's nice to have my hair straightened ever now and again, it makes me feel all different and more normal, if there is such a thing.
Today has been a big news day. My friend Lou go engaged last week! Eek! Congrats hun! And Adam got a big new fancy job & i am so super happy for him!
i have much girly fun planned for the next few days, so excited!! As my sister said: "This weekend is all about, partying, gigs, shopping and lush yummmmm!" Sounds perfect to me!
Must pack.
Ciao! And thanks so much for visiting! x

i got a pony!

Not a real one silly! A Pony Tail. Although, it looks like a bunny tail cos it's so short & my curls are so thick. For the first time in over 10 month i can get my hair in a pony tail, without grips & everything! The whole idea behind getting my hair cut short was to stop me wearing my curls up all the time, but i have missed my long ringlets dearly & have been whispering to my hair for months, asking it to grow as fast as it can, so i am a hapie ladee.

Happy {Chinese} New Year!

Managed to get a page done. hip hooray & yah yah yay! Don't feel like sharing the whole thing, but wanted to show these funky felt letters that i cut out with my own bare hands. So proud of me! So today is Chinese new year. Last year we went to China Town in London which was fun & beautiful, this year we just styaed in & ate chinese food. And Mum made pancakes for pudding even though it's two days early. Love pancakes.

So yesterday was my photography course with Experience Seminars. The instructor was very knowledgable & i certainly learnt a few things about my camera, but i think i should have done a more hands on course. i'm still confused because there's just so many elements to think about when photographing & i'm not confident about what settings i should be using in which lighting situations. Guess i will have to get out & experiment. There was so much info to take in yesterday, i think i will let it sink in for a few days & then go over stuff again. We got given a huge handout & a disc with the presentation on which is brill.

Have some fun stuff planned for the end of the week & a much needed break from work.

i have been so busy of late that i didn't even realise that the Look blog was up and running! So excited about that, i have been waiting for it for ages! Feeling so very overwhelmed by everything at the moment, i have little time & no energy to be doing the stuff that i want to do. Or even to tidy my room, which is a tiparama. Ha, who am i kidding it's always like that! i am so behind on creative projects, i haven't even done any stuff from the Product Playground class and we're on lesson 3! My brain is on information overload and i'm trying to research too much about too many things, i think i need to take a step back and let my brain pause for a moment. Oh and i have a cold which does not help matters. So, i'm off for a beloved Lush bath (did you see they have some new products out!!!) & i will hopefully be back with something of a creative nature tomorrow.

Postcard Love

i'm not a collector of post cards per se, but if i find a funky one then i will buy it, and i do have quite a few, so i suppose you could call it a collection... But it's not! And i don't have any intention of posting them to anyone either, they are pure eye candy. When i have my own place i shall frame & hand my favouries. i've recently been admiring The Beatles Mint Stamps which have been released, i love The Beatles and shall never tire of them. So i love postcards & i love The Beatles ~ imagine my delight when in the post office today i noticed that they were selling postcards with the image of The Beatles stamps on! Happy Day.
i've been really busy this week, but don't have anything interesting to report on, except that i went to a gala screening of Hot Fuzz on Monday and it's one of the funniest films ever! i keep seeing ads for it and it's still making me chukle. It gets a big thumbs up from me.

To my Typepad friends, i'm having real trouble posting comments on there at the moment, but i am reading your blogs, promise!

i got me a blog banner!

i am so chuffed to bits as have been meaning to sort a proper banner out for ages now. Much thanks to Tommy tomatoe, or as my Mum likes to call him 'the lovely Tom' for helping me out. i have been a tres busy girl this weekend. Yesterday i travelled up to Guildford to meet my friend Amy & we got the train into London to attend the Destinations, Holiday & Travel Show. Amy spent 6 weeks in Australia last year so after a day of picking her brains about her travels & looking at all the stands at the travel show i'm totally ready to pack my bags & leave England.
We got to attend a seminar on Travel Photography & the expert panell included Steve Davey. i didn't really know who he was, but half way through the seminar i realised i own one of his books. How cool is that?! It's rather morbidly called Unforgettable places to see before you die, but it's a really inspiring book. The seminar completely put me off wanting to be a travel phtographer, but i got some good photography tips out of it. My arms are aching so much today from lugging round all the brouchures, books & magazines i picked up. The Rough Guides Stand had 25% off so I bought books on Australia, New Zealand & Singapore (travel guides are one of my major obsessions). These weren't just impulse buys, i've been perusing e-bay for these particular titles recently and at 25% off i couldn't resist. It's their 25th birthday this year & they have some special edition books coming out nearer the summer and i'm probably going to want every single one! Lonely Planet also had some money off their books so I bought Travel Photography, as Amy said: it's an investment. i haven't had the chance to read it yet though so can't comment on whether it's any good. And The Sunday Times Travel Magazine had an awesome offer on their subscriptions, so i signed up for that too, only for 3 months mind. It's my favourite travel magazine. i just can't read enough lately, i am devouring information like it's going out of fashion. i think my brain must have got bored & hungry, because it definately needs a lot of feeding at the moment.

Today Mum & Lloyd got home, they had a fab time & have i've already seen the pictures, which has also made me want to leave the country immediately. They didn't have much luck on their quest to find me what i wanted scrapbook wise but they did get me a DCWV stack, some buttons & a bag of peanut butter M&M's. Why oh Why don't they produce them in the UK?
i've been busy scrapbooking this weekend, producing a grand total of 5 layouts! Here's my interpretation of sketches 16 & 17 from Pencil Lines (love that blog!) and one i did for my Barcelona album. Incase you're wondering, those little photos i used are my Moo cards. The first Lo is of my beautiful sis, i asked her to choose 3 words which describe her best at the moment and she choose Busy, Excitable, & Skint, i added 'Student', because that's a huge part of her life right now (hence the reason she's skint!). The second is a crazee ass layout of myself, it is so not my usual style, and i'm not sure if i like it or not, but that's the reason why i love Pencil Lines so very much. It pushes me to try different styles & the sketches can be interpreted in so many ways. Gotta love sketches.

Went to see The Pursuit of Happyness tonight and have to say i thought it was going to be better. Inspirational story, but i found it a little boring. Great perfomances from Will Smith & Jaden Smith though.

Finished watching Sleeper Cell yesterday and loved it.

And the most exciting news of 2007 to date is the announcement today of the release date of the 7th (and last) Harry Potter book. The 21st of July! i'm already counting down the days...

Found the trailer for the 5th film a couple of weeks ago, if you haven't seen it yet you can see it here. i have to admit to being a bit frightened by the poster featuring 'he who must not be named', not looking forward to that being plastered all around the country.
