Youth Envy

i was on the bus today & a load of school kids got on. And i was thinking... They are sooo young!! And they don't know yet how hard life in the real world can be! And they have soo many options open to them.

i felt a little envious.

It's not that i want to be any younger, it's not even that i want to change my past, afterall, i would't be where i am now if it wasn't for the journey i have taken. But i do wish i was in a position to go back to studying. i am so worried at the moment of ending up in a job that i hate (again). It's really the last thing that i want.

But i can already see it happening.

Scrapage

i've been scrapping the last few days inbetween jobo hunting. And i've been scrapping it out with Annabannana today. She made her first ever pages!! So proud :)

+ don't tell anyone, but i'm staying IN on a Saturday night!! Owing to joblessness, my social life has pretty much come to a standstill. Luckily i've got enough stash hoarded to keep me scrapping til forever x 1000.

i'm off to watch some Sex and the City on dvd and get an early (ish) night...shhh...

i feel ick. As in the stay in your pj's all day type of ick. The dosing up on Beechams, Sudafed and Lemsip type of ick. Apparently i shouldn't have taken all three together. oops.

i have been obsessing over the Biffy Clyro Puzzle album of late (ok, it's basically just on repeat on La Pod). And also still looooooving the Neon Bible album from Arcade Fire. i've been listening to the same old stuff for 5 months now as i couldn't download while i was away. So went in search of some new music today.

Last night i went to the restaurant to see The Crew & i was reminded of happy days. That place got me where i wanted to go. i was so excited to see everyone.

Tonight i'm meeting up with the rest of my friends and i can't wait! i've missed nights out with this lot SO much. Possibly more than anything else.

Leaving on a jet plane...

So it's an hour till i leave for the airport to catch my flight HOME!! i am sooooo excited, i can't even begin to tell you! But...

i know i'm going to miss the excitment of everyday being completely different, of seeing new places and meeting new people.

i've done some amazing stuff & gained so much from my adventure, but every ending is a new beginning.

i was planning on uploading a few pictures from the last week (because it's back to craftyness, gig going and all the other random boring stuff that i usually blog about from now on), but blogger only let me get this one up before it decided to start playing silly buggers. Enjoy!

Thailand

Joon, a guy that i've been travelling with, keeps saying 'i knew it was gonna be like this, but i NEVER thought it was going to be like THIS!'



That quote sums up my view of Thailand entirely. It is CRAZY! There are no pavements, there do not appear to be any health and safety regulations, AT ALL and nothing is set in stone, especially prices and start times. i knew it was going to be challenging and frustrating and that i would see stuff i could never have imagined but really, nothing could have prepared me for Thailand. And it will never make sense to you if i try and explain it, unless you've been here yourself.



i have lazed on beaches, had cheap as chips Thai massages, seen Chinese street theatre, eaten food off the side of the road, taken all kinds of crazy different transports, seen a Muai Thai boxing match, been to Wats, seen my fair share of ladyboys, haggled at markets, snorkelled, done a thai cookery course, been to a Full Moon Party (which btw, i NEVER want to experience again) seen elephants walking down the street and all other kinds of stuff which i can't even remember right now!!



One week and i will be home. One week. You have no idea how excited i am, more excited then i was to leave. i can't wait to get back to my wonderful life and all the wonderful people in it. And i'm putting it here in writing to refer to the next time i am bored of England and want out. i have missed you.
