And so the adventure begins...

i have 2 weeks off work! yay! My friends Dianne is here visiting from the U.S. We met whilst travelling in Japan last year & have kept in touch. i am so happy she is here! We started the weekend off in London. Staying in this beautiful hotel. i have never stayed any where so posh! 4 poster bed. yeeeess!


Saturday we went to Harrods for Bridget, but i couldn't hack the crowds, so we just did what we needed to do and left. Saw big ben, ate lunch on a boat, with a view of the eye.


Hung out in Hyde Park & went on the boats. Food at My Old Dutch, drinks at Cheers (seriously disappointing, the worst wine i've ever tasted and i've sampled a LOT of wine!).

Sunday we had brunch before going to the Notting Hill Carnival. Watched the 2012 Party in St James' Park on the big screen. Then headed home for a night out with the lads. Those boys are guaranteed laughs. Love them.


Today we have been to the arcades (you know how i love those 2p machines!) and took a walk around Old Portsmouth. Dianne is digging all the old stuff that we have in England, she thinks it's 'neat'. We took her to the church with no roof (bombed in WW2) and along the seafront, she was soo happy when we came across a cannon! Yesterday she freaked when we were on the train home and she spotted cows in the field! It's nice to be seeing my home from a different perspective. Happy Days.

Pissed off!

And i don't believe the bullshit that they are spewing about the writers strike meaning they have to make schedule changes, i'm sure it's more about Radcliffe getting his penis out in Equus again & them not wanting the images mixed with the HP promo. hmph!

At least this gets the HP6 spot... every cloud has a silver lining. Seeing as i am totally caught up in the book at the moment (isn't everyone? it certainly seems so!) i think i am looking forward to it more anyway. (still pissed off though!)

Oh and still very much in love with him after watching this. again.

And wondering why i haven't found my Edward (just read the blummin book ok!)

Pirate Night

i rock the fancy dress. i really do, ask my friends, they will tell you. i like to make as much of my own costume as poss and do stuff a bit outside of the box. Luckily we occasionally have these crazy themed nights out, so i get to flex my creative muscles.


Yes that is a beard (it took me two weeks to grow, ha ha! it was eyeliner of course!).


No the parrot is not real.

And if i ever hear another pirate joke or comment about needing a shave, i will boosh someone in the face!!

Doing F-all

Yep, so i'm a total hermit this week, so far. There are of course plans from Friday through to the wee hours of Saturday morning. But ya, i think this is the first week ever that i've done F-all Mon-Thurs. You have to realise that this is imense, because i am quite frequently double or even triple booked, and please don't think that i'm bragging, i just happen to know a lot of people. So it's quite nice to just veg. Still haven't got anything done though, like tidying or sorting out my tax rebate or even any scrapage. i'm just too tired when i get in from work. i'm possibly more lethargic then when i'm really busy. Go figure that one out.

So it's just been me & 24.
