Moose pictures

Oh how i miss posing for moose pictures. There just wouldn't be any point doing them outside of Canada.

And i muchley miss this girl. For this page i used Mandi's Half Caf Kit (Sassafrass card not included). There are still some available!

Hope you have a happy Bank Holiday weekend!

Ocassionally...

i paint. Every few months i will get the urge, bang a few canvases out and then go back to the 'not painting' portion of life. i made this as a birthday gift. It was the first attempt i ever made to actually paint *something*. Usually i just mess about with tones and textures and stick some words on there somewhere, so doing the guitar made me somewhat nervous. The ides to stitch on the strings came from Miss Elsie.

V Festival & Lost Cameras

i'm baaaaack! From V. It was much fun, although very tiring! Great to catch up with some people & get away from the daily grind. My highlights were Pendulum, Dizzy Rascal, Sneaky Sound System & Keane (i fall in love with them all over again whenever i see them live).

Oasis cancelled, which wouldn't have bothered me but it messed up the line-up for the entire day, so we ended up missing out on Elbow & Snow Patrol. i've seem them both before but it was still a bummer.

i took some disposables with me too, but i haven't used them all up. i'm excited to be using film again!

Rhi set a challenge over on The Art is Found to put disposable cameras out into the world. i took mine to V planning to pass it along to someone there. i took a few pictures while there, but then decided to leave it at the coach station when i got home. i was kind of hoping someone would take it on a journey to wherever they were going so it would end up in some random place. i'll be so pleased if the pictures actually show up. You can check out the flickr group here.

1 more sleep!

Urban Outfitters are teaming up with the impossible project. Yay! Check it out here.

i am in loooove with this song lately.

Packing tonight for V. i am a packing nazi! You get kind of good at it after you've had to live out of a backpack for 4 months. i am stocked up with disposable cameras, baby wipes & i have a new straw hat. So i am set! The line up is amaaaaazing! But i am mostly looking forward to The Killers, Biffy Clyro, MGMT, Ladyhawke & Pendulum. Plus i am meeting a few friends there, excited to see them!! And make some new ones! i am hoping for good weather....

OAP's beware!

i was most delighted when Caketin discovered a new craft shop right next to our cinema (yes it is OUR cinema!). i was even more delighted to find that they sell oddles of buttons, japanese fabrics and hard to find things (in the uk)like Hambly!! However, i was *super* good and only spent a mere £12.27p! And i already used some hambly.

Thinking a lot, a lot, a lot, about the kind of person that i want to be and not want to be. And trying to move forward. It's not so easy, let me tell you. Also i seem to have a few anger issues of late which is somewhat troublesome.

TTW was awesome btw. It was just as i wanted to be. Near perfect. Although i did have to ask an old couple off for talking through the movie! This is a pet hate of mine & i have never actually asked anyone to be quiet before, but they were clearly hard of hearing as they were practically shouting & felt it necessary to comment/state the obvious on every little thing that happened. i wasn't about to have TTW ruined for me!! She who must not be named thought it tres ironic that i should be telling off some OAP's for unsocial behaviour!

Hello World

i have a new hair colour. What do you think?

And a new vintage polaroid camera courtesy of my sister :) i love that it's got 'super swinger' on the front. tee hee.

i am muchly excited to finally see the trailer for The Lovely Bones.

There are sooo many movies coming out this year that i am really excited about.
My favourite book evvvvvver The Time Travelers Wife has been made into a film & is released Friday. i am going prepared to cry throughout most of the movie & i have high hopes for it to be beautiful and amazing. i have previously owned 3 copies of this book and haven't managed to keep hold of any of them.

i've been listing more things on e-bay tonight. So boring yet necessary.

And i've been listening to tunes in preparation for V next week. (EEeek!!) How we are going to decide who to see i just don't know.

i'm almost finished my dark chocolate m&m's :(

Oh and i have a mini to share. Last year for my birthday everyone had to wear hats, much photo taking and hat swapping ensued. You can see the whole album here.

Because i don't ever want to stop dancing

This has been doing the rounds of a lot of blogs lately, but i thought i'd share, for those of you who only read mine.

If anyone ever actually asks me to marry them, you can be sure i will be dancing down the aisle.

i kind of have a thing about painted doors, i got super excited when i found this down the road, it kind of freaked my friend out i think. i forget people don't think the same way as i do & get happy about this kind of thing. i realised about a week ago that i have always felt different to everyone else. i wonder if other people feel the same too & we're all just wandering about thinking no one will ever understand us.

My life isn't too exciting right now, it's mostly full of watching films, eating pasta, taking my vitamins, craving coco pops, reading my Southern Vampire books, getting annoyed with my fringe, having crazy dreams, hating life one minute & thinking it's rather cool the next.

i actually have a ton of crafty things to show you but i need nice weather to take pictures in... We have had a really sucky summer again this year, i'm holding out for another beautiful autumn.

Hello August!

So far you have been lovely.

i spent the weekend with this fine gentleman.

We always laugh and talk into the wee hours and then start all over again the next morning. We love to go on adventures and eat out and drink wine. i wish so much that we lived closer. He always cheers me up, nurtures my confidence, reminds me of times past, gives me a new nickname, encourages my arty 'loon of the moon' ways and puts things in perspective.

We took a day trip to Oxford & it was pouring with rain for the most part of the day (Oh British weather, i loathe you) but i did manage to get a few shots. Ther are too many tourists in Oxford for my liking.

i love old buildings.
