How are you?

i've been super busy of late & haven't had much time for the interenet, i've not even been reading other people's blogs let alone writing my own. Here's a catch up, in no particular order:

i've been pondering over wether to do it for a while now. Then Adrienne told me i had to join her. So i did, because she's the boss lady.

Dreams can come true!!

Taken with my Canon 350D & made into a polaroid using Poladroid.

yes yes! i have been wanting a polaroid camera for such a loooooong time! But i figured with the film going out of production there was no point trying to start another obsession which would have to be short lived. Thanks to the Impossible Project that's all about to change! They have bought the old Polaroid Factory & are developing a new film which can be used with polaroid vintage cameras, which they hope will be released in 2010!! So i thought now was the time to make the dream a reality. The SX-70 1000 Land is my favourite (mostly because it has a pretty rainbow on it!). And there are a lot of them going for cheap cheap on e-bay at the moment. The one i managed to score (for £5.99) came in the box with instructions, it smells so old!! i love it!! i think i will call her Betty.

So now i'm doing as much research on her as possible. You can still get SX-70 at Polapremium but it is super expensive. So i'm going to try using some 600 film, i need to get an ND filter first though & i'm going to attempt making my own (eek!). But i need to get some ND filter sheets... i think this is going to be a bit of a mission!

i'm SUPER excited & can't wait to get shooting & learn all about my new camera. Any advice on shooting with Polaroids is grately appreciated!

25 Things (about me)

i got tagged on something on Facebook a few weeks back. The idea was to write 25 random facts about yourself & then tag the person who tagged you plus another 24 people. i love stuff like this because it's a great way of recording stuff about yourself (obviously i am a fan of this) & you get to learn stuff about your friends too. So if you are reading this, consider yourself tagged! Feel free to leave your facts in the comments.i would love to know more about YOU!

Anywho, thought this was a good prompt for a layout, so some of my facts found their way onto a page.





And the facts are...
*i already lived out one of my biggest dreams and now i'm not sure what to do with myself.
*i keep a journal. It is not your average journal.
*My camera cost me almost as much as my car!
*i miss my flip-flops.
*i am in love with the idea of being in love, but terrified of the reality of it.
*If i could go back in time, i would re-train as a Graphic Designer.
*in my spare time, i can usually be found sticking photos & paper together. It's called scrapbooking & it rocks!
*i am often asked (by old ladies in particular) if my hair is naturally curly. For the record: yes it is.
*i can't cope in the winter.
*i am frequently told by strangers that i have nice handwriting.
*i wished i owned a vintage typewriter (that works).
*i am a film fanatic & watch an average of 5 a week.
*i'm currently craving sushi.
*People generally seem to think i'm 'lovely' but i can't figure out why.
*i dream of owning my own home & filling it with vintage furniture & art.
*This year i plan to take an Art & Design course.
*i have a phobia of snakes.
*My favourite word is 'smooch'.
*i love chocolate milkshake. In a big way.
*i often wonder how i will die.
*One day i hope to own a pug puppy.
*Taking pictures makes me happy.

Lately i've been feeling that....

i haven't made enough time for creating

i might change my feelings about having children one day

i should be taking more pictures of the people in my life & just more pictures in general. picture taking has been lacking lately

i need to stop letting my past affect my future

i need to get out of this country

it would be pretty darn cool to take a Beatles Degree

i wish i wasn't so tired all the time

Let me tell you a story..

About a little girl who wanted a little sister more then anything in the whole world.


One day her wish came true. She was so proud of her new little sister that she disn't like anyone else to hold her & when they did she got very jealous!


As they grew they liked to play games together like shops & the post office. They even had twin cabbage patch dolls.


The little girl really didn't like having her picture taken, but her little sister really did!


They went everywhere together, they moved house a lot & travelled the world!


As they edged towards adulthood they celebrated the good times & comforted each other through bad times & supported each other, no matter what. And the little girl was very aware that she had one of the best little sisters a girl could ever have!


Love you today & always! No matter how old you get you will always be my Little Sis!

Oh Hello March!

Spring is in the air & summer could not be here soon enough. i can't wait to put this winter behind me.

It's been a lovely few days including yum yums in Winchester, Girls night out (Mmmm cocktails), Lazerquest in Bo'mo(most fun EVER) and perfect cupcakes (Hay is a legend).

Tomorrow marks the start of another New Chapter as i'm moving offices again (for the third time in under 10 months!). The role is similar to what i'm doing now, but i can make the job my own & it should be a lot less stressy. i am looking forward to this change but will miss a lot of my colleagues, so very much! (Not to mention the cutest vintage shop ever & yummyest bakery which i used to peruse in my lunchtimes on occasion).

Oh yea & this made my day! i have never won anything like this before! Cool Beans.
