Scrapbook Share on Sunday Returns!

Yay! We finally have internet. i am soooo happy. i can get back to regular blogging now. Tomorrow i get my desk for the craft corner/scrap space too. i am so excited to finally get that little area sorted out, it's the last thing to do. i've been pretty busy this weekend spending time with family and getting out and about around town. i'm so in love with the weather we're having at the moment, it's gloriously sunny but living on the coast means we get a breeze too so it's the perfect temperature. Happy summery days!

A few months ago i won a 'Golden Ticket' to see a sound check & an acoustic pre-gig gig with Biffy Clyro (one of my all time favourite rock bands). i thought i had blogged about it but i couldn't find the post, although i can't imagine that i wouldn't have mentioned it seeing as it was one of the highlights of the year! We also got to meet the band very briefly and they were very gracious indeed. So i scrapped a few of the photos, taken on my iPhone because most venues won't allow SLR's.

This is an old page, because i am rubbish at sharing. i used the Quilting Bee Studio Calico kit. i'm so glad i bought extra SC paper that month as that English Tea paper is a firm favourite of mine and i wish i had more of that Sassafrass paper too, it's probably the loveliest Sass paper ever! You don't need much embellishment with such pretty paper.

Here's some close ups of the ribbon embellishment i made.

i'm so happy the internet got installed in time for all the CHA gossip and sneaks, i think it's going to be a fun week!

Life is sweet

Yes it is! The only thing that could complete it right now is access to the internet in my own home! i am having serious withdrawal symptoms (i'm stealing mum's again). i miss blogging regularly and i miss commenting on blogs, it's just too much work on an iPhone! However, it does mean i've had time to make cupcakes, have a flat warming party, hang out with old friends, watch Inception, listen to music at the bandstand, and do some scrapbooking. Which means I'll have lots to share with you when we eventually do get internet (yay!). Here's one for now.

Before the move i reorganised most of my supplies (other then basics and my SC kits) into manufacturer so i can keep better tabs on what i've got. Turns out it's mostly American Crafts, Sassafrass and Jenni Bowlin, no surprises there then! This page uses the Dear Lizzy (Spring) and the Letterbox lines from American Crafts. i think it's so great that you can mix and match their lines so easily. i know that's probably their intention but i just think it's super awesome and makes scrapping a whole lot easier. Sometimes it seems to take more time deciding what to use on my pages then actually making them! The cherry stamp was a Studio Calico kit exclusive, so cute! i printed the picture with my pogo printer, which i don't use enough. Every time i use it i say that! Photo cred: She Who Must not Be Named.

i'm getting really excited about all the new product coming out in the CHA sneaks. What are you loving so far?

Long time no speak!

Hello blog friends!

How i have missed you all! We are still without internet (i am at my mum's 'borrowing' hers) and it is driving my crazy!! i am not sure when we are going to get hooked up so blog posts will be intermittent for another few weeks. Thanks to my iPhone i am managing to just about keep up with my google reader but it's hard to comment, so i apologise for being so quiet. i am missing the blog world a lot more then is probably healthy! So i thought i'd pop in to say 'Hi' and let you know that the move went well and we are loving life in the new apartment. i am yet to organise my Craft Corner and i can't wait to get that sorted and have an actual desk dedicated to scrapbooking! i have another layout to share from the Studio Calico May Kit (loved that kit sooo much!), which i did a while ago.

This picture was taken at the hotel i stayed in when i went on holiday to Turkey in 2007. i'm pretty sure it's the only picture i've scrapped of that holiday, eeeep! i really should try and get a few more done as it really was a beautiful location. i've found that i'm drawn to pages with lots of white space lately so i'm trying to introduce that into my pages a lot more.

So, what's up with you? Are you having a heat wave in your corner of the world like we are? i am loving summer so far, it's my favourite season. Have a great week what ever you are up to!

On the move...

No not the blog, ME! i just wanted to let you all know that i'll be taking a little blog break for the next week or so while we move in to our new place. We got the keys to our new apartment this afternoon and are super excited to settle in to our new home & explore the local area.
