5

Firstly, i hope you had a wonderful interNational Scrapbooking Day last week & managed to fit some creative time into your weekend! i'm so happy we have a holiday to celebrate this wonderful hobby and have an extra excuse for some scrapping time!

This month's challenge over at the Truly Madly Crafty Challenge Blog is '5'. Use 5 photos, 5 techniques, 5 embellishments, a layout based on the number 5. Interpret as you wish! i went with 5 photos.

Kit: Day Dream Believer from Studio Calico. Papers: MME, Sassfrass, American Crafts, Pebbles inc. Stamps Studio Calico, Epoxy Stickers: American Crafts, Button: October Afternoon, Mistable trim: Pink Paislee, Pennant: MME. Journalling pennant: Elle's Studio, Ink; Jenni Bowlin Studio. Vintage items: 'R' card & Library card

These photos were taken at the Roald Dahl Museum that we visited last summer. My sister and i were huge fans of his work as children (and still are as adults!) so this was a really fun day out for us. You can even sit in the very chair that Mr Dahl wrote all his stories in. i would definitely recommend a visit, especially if you have little ones.

i always try to gather supplies that will support the theme of my page. Here i chose background paper that had lots of text, a book stamp, a library card etc. i've had a hard time with the mason jar trend. i think they are super cute, but they don't really have any meaning to me. i came across this quote from the BFG 'Every morning I is going out and snitching new dreams to put in my bottles' and included it on my page so i felt could get away with using that mason jar from the latest Dear Lizzy line.

Whilst i had the kit out i decided to carry on and do another 5 photo page for the Multi Photo NSD Challenge over at Studio Calico. This one includes photos from the Arcade Fire Gig i went to last June. You can read more about that here

Can you tell that i have ZERO patience for photographing double page spreads? Sorry about that!
