i used the Plus One collection from Amy Tan for 3 of my layouts this month. It's one of those collections that i wasn't too fussed on when it was announced, it looked too neon for me. But then i had the opportunity to see the paper pad in real life and i really liked the bright colours. Although this has a (quite scary) picture of me in the morning, the journaling card details all those things i get up to at work which don't get photographed, so it's a nice little overview of what mornings look like for me right now.
This layout was designed using a sketch from this month. It was originally a two page sketch, but i used it to make a single page. i wasn't sure what to say about this photo of some friends and i until i came across a prompt about reconnecting and that's what lead my journaling.
Whilst i'm here i wanted to point out a couple of new things at Simple Scrapper. You can see everything that's going on this month, including the Team Gallery here. This year there will be a free template/sketch released each month for everyone to make use of. The latest one can be found here. The current Story Starter Challenge is here. You'll need to submit your entry by the end of the month to be in for a chance to win a 3 month pass to the membership.
There's also a new workshop coming up called The Finishing Project. It's a guided workshop to (you guessed it!) help you finish unfinished projects. It will even help you figure out which of your unfinished projects you should get started with (because, if you're like me you probably have more than a couple of unfinished albums). You can check out the syllabus here.
i'll be back on Tuesday with some more layouts.
