March was kind of busy for me, i started a new job and had to take a business trip abroad. So i didn't get to dig deep into the Story Starters like i usually do. In fact, i didn't get much scrapbooking done at all! The theme at Simple Scrapper this month is beliefs. Jennifer did a really good job to offer some well rounded prompts in order to cater for everyone, they are not all centered around religion and cover some much broader topics. You can play along with this month's story starter challenge here. Create heck out what is going on at Simple Scrapper this month. Now onto my layouts...
i decided to keep my journalling hidden on this layout. It talks about some of my core beliefs, which covers serious stuff like my political beliefs and how i think we should all be looking after the planet, and some of my more spiritual beliefs. i would love to have some gold doilies in my stash, but they are so pricey! So i inked a white doily with a gold ink pad. It took a while to dry, but i think it turned out ok.
You will see a couple of common features on my SS layouts this month, stamping and gold! i am currently obsessed with both. Particularly word stamps, can't get enough of them. To get the alignment right on this layout i used a ruler and pencil to mark out where to stamp.
This last one came together really quickly, that's why i love sketches so much!
