Not much going on around here, but i thought i ought to say hello.
And let you know i'm excited about Kim's Travel Journal Class starting tomorrow. i'm hoping it will prompt me to get my last few Canada pictures printed so i can finish off mine (i literally just need the photos then i'm done).
And share this video. Because i promised that i would. If i ever have children of my own this is the only thing they'll be allowed to watch on tv. For reals.
That's actual genius in front of your eyes right there! *Sigh* i so want a Rainicorn!

I'm not gonna lie to ya
It's been a really tough week for me. Thanks to all those who have been a massive support, i really appreciated it. Sooo today is the first day i am starting to feel like i am ready to start moving forward (this could all change tomorrow though!) and i feel a bit guilty for neglecting this place (i don't like to be around here when my thoughts are not sunshine & light). So let's start making it a bit happier/hopeful. Today's Mail on Postsecret made me smile & is oh so verrrry apt for me right now: "Every time I see a BMW I assume the driver is a jerk (just like you were.)"
Last week Dickie, Garth & CWN came over for tea & us girls went out for a walk & came back to find the boys had done all the washing up! Love them!
i've been out with Nicynoo, had Matt from Home round for din dins & She Who Must not be Named (so glad she's back in the country now), seen The Hangover (funniest film of the year so far) and Transformers (utter rubbish) had a girls night out and a ton of other stuff i can't remember.
Caketin tried to teach me how to Crochet this weekend. i was a dismal failure. Apparently i need practice. i'm not sure i have the patience. Meanwhile she is the Crochet Queen and so i am still a proud owner of a lovely cuff, even if i didn't make it myself :) Thankies!
Oh and another recent failure, i tried making sushi tonight but my rice was too sticky. My Bento Box is cute though! Picked it up in Canadia!

And there's some crafting going on around here (working on a new mini). Yay!

i'm currently craving Kool Aid, reading Harry Potter #6 (in prep for le film) & looking forward to seeing my family tomorrow.
Have a good week!

Musical Me
It's been a verrrrrry busy week! i am so behind with everything, even text messages! Eep!
Monday i went to see Manhattan. Woody is so oddball. However, it's a great ode to a magical city. Plus there is something beautiful about Black & White films.

Tuesday we travelled to London to the O2 Arena, it was my first experience there & the place is HUGE! The journey took a lot longer then we anticipated, i think if i were to go again i'd stay over night. We ended up missing the support band GlasVegas, which was gutting. The Mighty Kings of Leon were outstanding! Caleb's voice is amazing!
Wednesday i drove down to Bournemouth to see Air Traffic. They are one of my favourite bands EVER. i never tire of listening to them. Their track, Fractured Life is a massively important song to me. On the recording you can hear the crowd singing from a gig they played here in Portsmouth, my friend Brian was there & i am massively jealous of him! Anyways, i have had to miss them live on a few occasions so was super excited to get to see them this week. They have a new drummer & are going independently so were trying out some new songs, which sounded pretty good. We saw them at the V, a converted church which is beautiful. The band had fairy lights on the set & it was lovely.
i haven't been checking out that much new music lately, just a bit here and there. But i have fallen in love with Lenka's sounds. She also has a pretty website. i had the radio on at work the other day & managed to catch her in the Live Lounge. Her take on Friendly Fires Jump in the Pool (a song i already love) is so beautiful. Listen here.

Lately anything woodgrain is stealing my heart. i am full of ideas for jewellery & stitching projects which i am really excited about! i am really inspired by wool & fabrics lately. i sooo badly want to learn to knit & crochet so i can make cute brooches & socks & mittens & cuffs. i have a feeling it's going to be something i will struggle with though. My nan tried teaching me as a girl & it was not successful! i'm hoping Caketin will teach me :)
Starting Harry Potter 6 tonight in preparation for the film! Eeeep! Can't wait to get lost in that magical world. There are a ton of films i am eagerly anticipating this summer, but i saw a trailer for Paper Heart a few months back & haven't got it out of my head.

Pinkage!
i've been merily scrapping away all afternoon on some travel pages & realised i hadn't shared the pages i made before i went on holiday. Scrapitude sent me a pink kit to work with, so it's all very girlie. i handcut the title on this one.

My sisters. i love them so much. We all live in different counties so don't get to see each other enough. One day i hope we will be closer together. It's an exciting time for all of us right now!

And i am uber obsessed with graph paper lately.

i am desperate to read the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, but they are so expensive here! The 7 book box set is around £40 plus postage or £4.99 each. If anyone sees them on offer anywhere, please let me know! i'd appreciate it!

i have a busy week ahead, it's very exciting! i'll give you an update later in the week. Have a good one!

So just as i was starting to think that i was happy to stick around for a while, a few things happened this week which made me go blah! and want to run away again. Anyways there has also been goodness, dinner at Annabanannas, being a 'gymbabe' again & actually getting to see Laz-e-boy (yayness), obessively watching The Office an American Workplace, meeting Caketin at the cinema in near (unintentional) matching outfits (Night at the Museum is Sooooo funny!) & Benguin playing the guitar for me.
i've also read The Hunder Games this week, which was recommended to me by Dianne. i was hooked and stayed up late one night to finish it, only to discover it's a trilogy! Gah! Anyway, i would highly recommend it.

Up! i am in love with this film! It is so moving, funny, beautiful & clever. i urge you to see it! Annnd it features a scrapbook! Plus the short film played before hand is the best i've seen!
Craft night. Adrienne made this little fella. He is the cutest! I want to steal her monster making skills! i am almost done with my scrapbook, just a few more photos to print, hopefully it will be done at the weekend!!
i had the most wonderful time imaginable! And it's all down to Le Sweet, it's so fun to be in her company & she has been the most wonderful tour guide. It's such a bummer that we live a whole ocean apart. One day we will meet again for more adventures i'm sure :)
